EA Meetup With Talks: Impact Measures

Dear friends of Effective Altruism,

We are excited to invite you to our next monthly meet-up! This month we are featuring a talk by Alex Turner on Impact Measures in AI alignment. Just as in the previous months, the meet-up will take place online via video conference at https://meet.ealokal.de/EffectiveAltruismMunich

We will leave out the introductory talk and dive directly into the main topic at 19:00. After the talk, there will be an opportunity to have a discussion and socialise.

People who are unfamiliar with Effective Altruism are encouraged to watch “What are the most important moral problems of our time?” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyprXhvGVYk) by one of the founders of Effective Altruism, Will MacAskill, or the longer talk “Prospecting for Gold” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67oL0ANDh5Y...) by Owen Cotton-Barratt as introductions to the topic.

Wir freuen uns, euch zu unserem nächsten Meetup einzuladen, in dem es einen Vortrag von Alex Turner zum Thema "Impact Measures" geben wird, gefolgt von einer Möglichkeit, Fragen zu dem Thema zu stellen.

Wegen der derzeitigen Pandemie wird dieses Meetup online als Videokonferenz stattfinden. Wir werden den Einführungsvortrag auslassen und direkt mit dem des Abends um 19:00 anfangen.

Nach dem Vortrag wird es die Gelegenheit geben, sich mit anderen über Effektiven Altruismus und vieles mehr zu unterhalten.
