(This Effective Altruism NYC event will be hosted at WeWork Queens Plaza in Long Island City. To gain access to the building, it will be necessary to RSVP on Facebook or Meetup as "Going" by 5pm on Oct 3rd, and bring a photo ID.)
On Thursday, October 4th, at 6pm, we're excited to invite Animal Charity Evaluators, an organization that conducts extensive research to help donors have the greatest impact in their efforts to help animals. In 2017, Animal Charity Evaluators influenced $6 million in donations to effective animal charities, and has received grants from both the Open Philanthropy Project and the EA Animal Welfare Fund.
At the event, Sofia Davis-Fogel (Managing Director) and Sydney Heiss (Researcher) will discuss some of Animal Charity Evaluators' recent work.
We plan to follow the schedule below. Please do your best to arrive before the Animal Charity Evaluators presentation begins at 6:30pm.
6:00pm - 6:30pm Social with light snacks
6:30pm - 7:30pm Animal Charity Evaluators discuss their work + Q&A
7:30pm - 8:00pm Social with light snacks
This event will take place at WeWork Queens Plaza (13th floor) near the Queensboro Plaza station in Long Island City. The WeWork entrance is on 27th street.
