Greg Sadler on Why policy is important, and How do to advocacy well

Details

Greg Sadler, the CEO of Good Ancestors Policy, will discuss his approach to policy advocacy in Australia, give an overview of the major projects GAP has completed and their impact, as well as insight into the work going on behind the scenes.

Finally, Greg will talk about what might transfer to an NZ context and how you can get involved, including by using your political capital in the most impactful ways.

Effective altruism is a movement focused on finding the most effective ways to have a positive impact. EA Wellington is a group of about 40 people who meet up weekly to talk about different topics in effective altruism and ways we can get involved.

This session will be held in room RH207 at Pipitea Campus. While we run events at the university our group is comprised of both students and professionals. Anyone is welcome to join. Please be aware the doors to the university stop automatically opening past 6 pm.
