Networking and How to Get Your Foot in the Door

Join us on Monday, September 10 from 6:30-8:00 pm at Lir for some more great networking and discussion! This month's topic, by popular request, is how to get your foot in the door at a company where you'd like to work. We'll talk about how to make networking connections through linkedin.com and industry events, whether at your target company or in a roundabout way through competitors or companies who work with your target company (vendors, clients). Along with that, we'll discuss the art of informational interviewing.

We'll also discuss using existing connections in the job application process, following up on an active job application and staying in touch with your target company even if you didn't get this particular job. Maintaining positive relations may mean they think of you in the future!
