The future is already lived in. Someone already went live.

The future is not a concept. It is a village of 40 households in Veldhoven, governed by consent, with compost toilets, shared heat pumps and a living lab for bio-based materials. And it is a neglected urban plot in Eindhoven, regenerated by a young community growing food from a repurposed shipping container.

Join us on 27 August at Kazerne for a conversation connecting Klein Oers and Rewild Farming: two proof-of-living experiments at the frontier of how we live, eat and decide together.

Featuring

Carolien Weerstand,
Artist-designer and Klein Oers resident (Studio Weerstand)

Cynthia van Schendel
Founder of Klein Oers and integrative health scientist

Bram de Vos
Co-founder of Rewild Farming and DAE graduate (also presenting the work of Benjamin Onno Dikmans, Kazerne Design Award nominee)

Are these methods new, or are they ancient ideas whose time has finally come? And how can design and technology help make them liveable for more people, faster?

Free entrance | English spoken | Open to all
