A representative and driver will be waiting for you outside the airport to welcome you to Aswan. Then check-in to your hotel and enjoy your overnight stay in Aswan.
Day 1- Visit to Philae temple and Sunset Felucca
After breakfast you can check out and start your journey towards the first tour of the day.
Philae temple – It is one of the most popular tour sites in Aswan. The Philae temple sits on an island and was said to be one of the burial-places of Osiris. The temple has a wonderful history which your guide will share with you. This tour includes an Egyptologist guide and round-trip motorboat tickets.
After visiting Philae temple - you would check you into a waiting cruise boat for a three night cruise
Sunset felucca – enjoy a beautiful sunset two-hour cruise on the Nile. A felucca is a wind powered vessel and will take you around the Elephantine Island as you watch the sky change into beautiful colors as the sun sets.
Meals included: B, L,D
Day 2: Abu Simbel round trip
Today’s adventure will take you to the grand temples of Abu Simbel. It will begin by picking you up in the lobby of your cruise boat promptly at 4:30am for your departure to Abu Simbel – we suggest asking your Cruise Boat front desk the night before to provide you with a breakfast box that you can take on your adventure.
The tour to Abu Simbel takes between 8 to 9 hours round trip from Aswan including 2-3 hours at the temples themselves. Explore Abu Simbel, which are the commanding twin temples of Ramses II and his wife, Queen Nefertari. The latter’s front is dominated by four 70-foot-tall statues of the pharaoh. Perhaps it is even more interesting that this entire site was dismantled and moved here to save it from the floodwaters caused by the Aswan High Dam.
Then return to the boat and begin to sail during the lunch time to Kom Ombo temple.
Arrive at Kom Ombo (hill of gold) to visit the Greco- Roman temple devoted to Haroeris (the sun god) and Sobek (the crocodile god), whom some ancient Egyptians considered the creator of the world. View the mummified remains of several crocodiles that once sprawled along the ancient Nile shore, just as their descendants do today. Then get back on board and continue sailing to Edfu where the boat ports for the night
Dinner and lodging on the boat.
Meals included: B,L,D
Day 3: Edfu Temple and Luxor Breakfast in Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus, falcon-headed god of the sky. It was built in 230 BC by Ptolemy III, which is stunningly well-preserved and its colorful structure reveals what temple worship in ancient Egypt was like. Post that get back on board and sail to Luxor. After having dinner on board, stay overnight in Luxor.
Meals included: B,L,D
Day 4: Full Day East and West Bank Luxor Tour and Departure
Enjoy a full day visiting the most famous sites in Luxor on both sides of the River Nile. On the East Bank you will visit the Temple of Karnak, where generations of pharaohs wished to record their names. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall, wander among its expertly aligned columns, which soar to 80 feet high. Later you get to the Temple of Luxor. View the three large statues of Ramses II along the front of the temple pylons; the Courtyard of Ramses II; and the Colonnade of Amenhotep III, with its 50-foot-high columns. Afterwards explore the West Bank of the Nile river where you will visit The Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon. This is the best way to see Luxor’s “greatest hits” if you only have a short period of time.
