Know Your Numbers: 3-Week Startup Finance Program (Cashflow Game + Diamond FMS)

Play the game. Build the model. Know your numbers.
Most founders learn finance the hard way, by making real mistakes with real money. This program lets you make them first at a game table, then turn what you learned into a real financial model of your own startup.
Over three weekly sessions, you'll play Cashflow Game, a board game that simulates a whole working life. Then you'll rebuild what happened in Diamond FMS, professional financial forecasting software. You don't need any finance background.

HOW EACH SESSION RUNS (4 hours)

• 45 min Mindset: a short intro to the week's entrepreneurial concept
• 90 min Play: a round of Cashflow Game, so you learn the concept by making decisions instead of watching slides
• 45 min Build: reflect on the game, then turn it into real numbers in Diamond FMS
• 60 min Connect: a networking lunch or dinner with your cohort

THE THREE WEEKS
Week 1: Simulate. What is a business, financially? You'll play the full life simulation from age 20 to 60, focusing on Active and Passive Income and Cashflow, the two statements that decide whether a person survives before building your startup.
Week 2: Adjust. Scenario planning and sensitivity. Everyone starts from the same "Bike Company" case in Diamond FMS and makes their own decisions. You'll see how changing one assumption reshapes the whole forecast.
Week 3: Your Company. You'll apply everything to your own venture or business idea and build an investor dashboard: burn rate, runway and break-even. The Diamond FMS team co-facilitates this session. It ends with a 2-minute investor pitch to the group.
WHO IT'S FOR: TWO TRACKS
Track A: Founders & early-stage Startups, €225 excl. VAT for all 3 weeks (up to 6 seats)

• KVK-registered, with at least 1 year of invoicing revenue
• You work with your own real financial data
• Includes 3 years of free Diamond FMS access

Track B: Students & aspiring founders, €50 excl. VAT for all 3 weeks (up to 9 seats)

• No revenue needed; bring a business idea you're developing
• You join all 3 sessions
• Includes some Diamond FMS access

WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH

• A working financial model you understand, assumption by assumption
• An investor dashboard for your own business or idea
• A practiced 2-minute investor pitch
• A small network of founders and students working through the same questions

PRACTICAL INFO

• Group size: 15 seats in total
• Bring a Windows laptop. Diamond FMS runs on Windows only. If you use a Mac, mention it in your application and we'll help you find a solution.
