Introduction to Meshtastic: Long range off-grid networking

Long range communication without heavy infrastructure investment is made possible through software platforms like Meshtastic which uses low powered devices transmitting on an open unlicensed frequencies for long range radio transmission. Just as mesh networking in home Wifi allows for increased Wifi coverage, Mesh networking with meshtastic allows messages to be relayed from node to node for increased range, possibly enabling very long range communication all without cell towers, internet cables, or satellites.
