🌸 Daimoku Chanting Meetup — Awaken Your Inner Life Force
This Sunday • 10 AM
SGI-USA Culture Center
(Open to the public • Come and go freely)
You are warmly invited to join us for a morning of chanting Nam-myōhō-renge-kyō (Daimoku) — the essence of life — and activate the dormant potential of enlightenment within you.
• We chant to awaken the indomitable life force within.
• Gongyo (5 minutes): A rhythmic recitation from the Lotus Sutra, the Buddha’s most profound teaching — like starting an engine that awakens the mind and sets our life in motion.
• Daimoku: Nam-myōhō-renge-kyō (5 minutes): A chant similar in resonance to Gregorian chanting.
• The title of the Lotus Sutra contains its entire essence — chanting it activates the dormant potential of enlightenment.
• The voice becomes an instrument for inner transformation, praising life itself.
• Chanting shows that no sincere prayer goes unanswered when we persevere.
• Through continued practice, we can become happy no matter what life brings.
• Encouragement will be shared based on Buddhist philosophy and real-life experience.
• A warm, welcoming space to reconnect, refresh, and uplift your spirit.
Chanting awakens the deep wellspring of courage, wisdom, compassion, and inner strength that exists within every person. In each of our lives lies a boundless and inexhaustible life force; through chanting, we bring forth this limitless power and open the path to joy, clarity, and transformation.
When we chant, we becomes radiant and a cause for positive change. By awakening our own inner potential, others naturally awaken theirs. Wheb we come together to chabt, s shared determination creates a powerful effect on our personal lives, on our passed loved ones, on our community, and the future.
Everyone is welcome, and everyone is free to stay as long or as short as they wish. There is no pressure or expectation — just sincere chanting and the quiet strength of practicing together.
