Navigating global search with users consuming data in multiple languages presents unique challenges. This talk addresses these by exploring the power of multilingual models and text embeddings for efficient cross-language data retrieval. We will also discuss practical techniques to optimize the retrieval stage of RAG and implement reranking strategies that significantly improve search relevance for both monolingual and cross-lingual queries.
