💭 Talk Abstracts:
AI and Search: Using the Model Context Protocol with Elastic -Moncef Abboud (Platform Engineer at Ticketmaster)
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) provides a standard way for AI models to communicate with external systems. In this session, we’ll explore how Elastic fits into that picture by running an MCP server that interacts with it. We’ll cover the basics of MCP: its architecture, transport layers, and primitives, and then walk through an example of using natural language to query Elastic via an LLM and MCP. The goal is to learn about MCP and demonstrate how it can simplify the integration of AI assistants with Elastic for search and beyond.
Talk #2 - Sophia Solomon (Developer Advocate at Elastic)
Details coming soon!
Speaker Bios:
Moncef Abboud is a Platform Engineer at Ticketmaster, specializing in data platforms and IT infrastructure. His interests include open source technologies, automation, and the evolving impact of AI on modern software systems.
