Elastic Talk Abstract:
Semantic Search and Gen AI with Elastic and OpenAI - Eddie Mitchell
The way we find and consume information is constantly evolving. Keyword search has been around for a long time, and while it isn't going anywhere, its usefulness must also be considered alongside some of the current hot topics in the form of vector search and Generative AI (Retrieval Augmented Generation).
In this talk, we'll quickly overview:
- Classic keyword search, its uses and limitations.
- Vector search, what it is, and how to use it.
- Generative AI and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
