From Slow Queries to Instant Results: Introducing Elastic as a Data Access Layer - Sachin Patel - (Data Scientist Team Lead at Viridien)
Slow database queries and growing data volumes were impacting user experience, and traditional fixes were costly and time-consuming. In this talk, I'll show how we offloaded read-heavy workloads by copying commonly accessed data into Elastic and serving it as a fast Data-as-a-Service layer. This approach reduced database load, improved response times, and unlocked new analytics—without redesigning the database or migrating platforms.
