Talk 1 by Christine Komander - How to start a project with Elastic

Christine will give an overview of all the things to consider when starting your Elasticsearch project, ranging from it the right data mappings, indices and shard sizes, sizing in general to hardware and infrastructure considerations.

Talk 2 by Hendrik Gebhardt - Using domain events to migrate a central Elasticsearch into small pieces

This talk explains how Studitemps leverages domain events to split a central Elasticsearch index into dedicated ones. We will talk about the migration of our Elasticsearch version 1.x index of a Ruby on Rails application and present the benefits of building new indexes.
