Title:
Keeping Items Found: Applying Narrow Agents in Caregiving Environments - Ayden Smith (Software Engineer)
Caregivers often operate in unfamiliar environments yet must locate everyday items as if they were in their own home. This creates a distinct data challenge: reliably retrieving object locations within highly dynamic, unstructured environments.

This talk introduces Min-Now, a system that combines Elasticsearch indices with Elastic Agent Builder to enable context-aware, agent-driven item retrieval. It details how household data is modeled and stored to handle constant change and ambiguity.
The session also explores the underlying narrow agent architecture, highlighting how custom ES|QL-powered tools enable precise, low-latency queries and support lean, consistent agent workflows.
