Elastic & Red Hat community meetup

Details
Elastic and RHUG Raleigh communities are excited to invite you to an exciting meetup! On March 20, at Fortnight Brewing, join us to unlock the potential of AI and Machine Learning (ML) to drive efficiency, innovation, and business growth. During this insightful session led by Red Hat, industry experts will explore practical AI/ML applications, real-world success stories, and strategies to maximize value from these technologies.
Discover how AI/ML can:
- Automate complex processes and enhance decision-making
- Improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Drive innovation across industries with real-world use cases
Elastic is also presenting a session
"GenAI Framework Observability with RamaLama and Elastic Distributions of OpenTelemetry", by Adrian Cole, Principal Engineer at Elastic
Abstract: Generative AI (GenAI) allows users to query applications with natural language, images or sound instead of pre-defined forms. Just like web services frameworks helped us into microservices, GenAI frameworks are stepping up to task to offer flexibility in Large Language Models (LLMs) and orchestration of tasks like RAG or tool calls. Due to the unpredictable nature of LLMs, you'll still require deep, practical observability.Attend this session to understand GenAI frameworks through code examples in Spring AI (Java), Vercel AI (Node.js) and Semantic Kernel .NET. We'll show how to use Elastic Distributions of OpenTelemetry (EDOT) to capture logs, metrics and traces without changing your main code. Finally, we'll demonstrate how to use Ramalama to iterate locally with open models, using OpenAI's API as a portability layer.Join us to learn actionable techniques to iterate and understand your GenAI applications.
