Elasticsearch on LocalStack and Terraform + Elastic Cloud + Agent
Details
It's been way too long and we are finally having another in-person Elastic meetup in Vienna thanks to our host iLogics and talks about Kubernetes and LocalStack.

Grab a drink and say hi.
18:30 Developing and testing serverless integrations with Elasticsearch on your local machine (Alex Rashed)
Developing serverless applications can be tedious. There are lots of integrations and moving parts, which can make it hard to effectively develop your applications. LocalStack allows you to simply spin up local instances of Elasticsearch and other managed services, and emulate their interactions.
In this talk, we will show how LocalStack can be used to develop and test serverless integrations with Elasticsearch entirely on your local machine, or in a CI environment. We will show a simple demo of how Lambdas send records to Kinesis, how Kinesis Firehose ingests the data into Elasticsearch, and finally how we can query the data using Kibana. All running locally!
19:15 Two Terraform Providers, Elastic Cloud, and a Dash of Agent (Philipp Krenn)
Why do we have two Elastic Terraform providers (one for Cloud, one for the Stack), how do you make the most of them — even if you're not running on Cloud — and how can you tie the Elastic Agent into that? All of these are pretty new, so you'll get a quick overview of quite a few things.
PS: Marek got sick unfortunately, but we'll do a meetup with his talk on Kubernetes and configurations early next year. So stay tuned for the next one.
20:00 Drinks, snacks, networking
