# TOPIC 1: Introduction to the ELK stack
Elasticsearch, along with Logstash and Kibana, provides a powerful platform for indexing, searching and analyzing your data. In this talk, a brief introduction to these components and demo to analyze Apache logs using ELK will be covered.
# Speaker: SUYOG
Suyog is an engineer with Elasticsearch and is based in San Francisco, CA. He develops for the Logstash project and is actively involved with supporting customers and training users on the ELK stack. Earlier, he was involved with developing a high throughput, low latency infrastructure for ingesting and analyzing terabytes of log data using Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka and Storm. Suyog has several years of experience developing analytics software for startups as well as large enterprises. He is proficient in Java and C++ and loves working with open source technologies.

# TOPIC 2: Elasticsearch: Lessons learnt in Production
The speaker will provide details on how they use and scale Elasticsearch at production in Helpshift. He will discuss the lessons they learnt and common pitfalls using Elasticsearch. He will also provide future plans and experiments at Helpshift using Elasticsearch.
# Speaker: VEDANG
Vedang Manerikar is the senior platform member at Helpshift – an in-app customer support platform. At Helpshift, Vedang has to make sure that the system can handle 100 million app-sessions per day without slowing down. He constantly evolves himself by learning about distributed systems, the technology stacks and identifying areas of improvement from the perspective of scaling up.
