Centralized Logs and Analytics with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana)

Details

Our previous meetup was all about aliases and reindexing techniques. We talked about zero downtime and production challenges. The presentation is available at https://gist.github.com/abronner/c603ee6e12137cefec37.

The preceding meetup was about mappings and settings: custom analyzers, multi fields and dynamic templates. That presentation is available at https://gist.github.com/abronner/dc983d3f2bfce183718f .

I'm happy to announce the next meetup on a rather short notice (< 3 weeks). This meetup will be hosted by Postmedia Network Inc. It is an initiative of Saud Ur Rehman who will present and discuss web logs analysis using the ELK stack.

The focus of this meetup will be Kibana 4, the new version that was released in the last months. What's new in Kibana 4? Let me quote the website that could not have set the bar higher: "Kibana 4 provides dozens of new features that enable you to compose questions, get answers, and solve problems like never before. It has a brand-new look and feel and improved workflows for discovering and visualizing your data and building and sharing dashboards."

Doors will open at 06:00 pm. We start at 06:45pm. Pizzas and refreshments are offered by our host (thank you!). See you there.
