Event planning for 2026 (including setting up book club!)

Hey Elders! Happy holiday season! 🕯️☃️

As another year comes to an end, I have been reflecting on goals that I’ve met and those I have not yet. One goal I would love to see some movement on is getting this group up and running in a sustainable way.
As someone who has been a transplant both from Washington to the east coast, and back again to Washington, I know how hard it can be to meet people and maintain relationships. Help me make this group the one to meet your tribe. 💜

*Bonus points if you can host or know of community places to host 😆🫶🏻
*message me directly if you’re interested but unable to join! If I get enough interest, I can set up a second meeting after the new year either in person and/or virtually.
*Book club specific— I just think this would be fun to have & easy to maintain. Ideally once a month, and I can check with KC Library about recurring spaces at whichever location we decide is most central.
*sustainable to me- each event could have a different host to take on organization.
