Peirce Mill to Fletcher's to Fort Reno Park (Highest Point in DC)

22.7 miles. Picnic at Fletchers' Boathouse, 13.5 miles into the route.
Restrooms are available at the beginning, middle, and end of the event.

This mid-week Wednesday cruise includes visits to historic sites, the world's 6th largest cathedral, two boathouses, and the highest natural point in Washington DC. The trail runs from Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park down to the Potomac River and up to Fort Reno Park, the highest natural point in Tenleytown, DC, a gain of 410 feet in elevation.

We meet at Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park. If the parking lots are full near Peirce Mill, you can park on Tilden Street.

We will picnic at Fletcher's Boathouse for lunch at the Potomac River.

Restrooms are available at the beginning, middle, and end of the event. Bring some snacks, lunch and plenty of water.

Please charge your battery. Ride is on paved trail and asphalt streets, generally flat but with some hills. Analog bike riders are most welcome.

Our bikes will always be in our sight. No additional locks are required to keep your bike safe on this trip.

For the E-bike Lovers group to be successful, we need to grow our membership carefully. Please feel free to invite other E-bike lovers, spread the word and let's have fun.

As usual, non-assisted bikers are most welcome.
