Understanding the Georgia Public Service Commission
Details
At a time when data centers are in the news, and models of cost sharing for their power requirements are up for debate, one state government agency holds a key position: The Georgia Public Service Commission. At the time of this presentation, an election will be under way to select two new members of the five-member commission. Understanding the background of this organization is key to making an informed decision.
The presentation will be given by Ron Daniels, an attorney based in Eastman, Georgia. Mr. Daniels is a long-time contributor to the Electronic Frontiers Forums track at Dragon Con and has presented for Electronic Frontiers Georgia before. Mr. Daniels will be joining us remotely via BigBlueButton.
We will meet in person at 7:00 p.m. at SandboxATL for socializing, and the presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m.
NOTE: The "Hartz building" is an older building without accommodations for those with limited mobility (such as an elevator). Please contact us if you are unsure about the accessibility of the space, and be aware we have a hybrid option below.
