Sip, Savour & Socialise is our motto join our group to indulge in the city's vibrant dining scene while enjoying meaningful conversations and social interactions. From trying new cuisines and exploring local restaurants to engaging in open discussions on intriguing topics and experiencing theatre and live music together, our community is all about creating memorable moments filled with laughter, good food, and great company. From 1st January 2024 the subscription fee will be £5 to 31st May (payable within 7 days of joining) after which the fee will be £5 to 31st December 2024 payable on 1st June 2024.
We are a NON PROFIT making group. The charge helps with admin fees and the fees charged by Meetup. Any surplus will be given to a charity of our choice on or before 31st December 2024 or an event in favour of members during the festive season.
Age limits - the group is probably best suited to those 40+
Restaurant and Event bookings - these can take some time and effort from the hosts to organise by having to contact the venues, organise relevant tables and numbers. Sometimes having to schedule menu choices and generally making sure our group is catered for means that we will sometimes ask for a deposit payable to the host within 48 hours of the meet up event being posted. However, we do recognise 'life happens!' so we do ask that you contact the host BEFORE the event with a cancellation message - no refunds or transfer will be provided.
It is the members responsibility to engage with the restaurant directly with any food allergy requirements necessary.
Some restaurants may not require a deposit and table numbers will be booked in good faith - however 'no shows' will not be tolerated and members may risk removal from the group without a refund should they 'no show' twice.
Theatre tickets should be bought individually - or where the host has the opportunity of a block booking can be purchased via the host. Limited numbers may apply.
Other events - drinks, coffee, walks follow the event descriptions at the time.

Neither the organisers, their representatives or Meet Up can accept responsibility for your safety or any losses by taking part in any event organised by this group. By taking part in any of our events you accept that you do so entirely at your own risk.
Responsibility of any food allergy requirements, remains with the member and should relay any information to the restaurant directly either on rsvp or on arrival at the venue.
