Elementor Single Post and Archive Templates using CPTs and ACFs

In February, we set up a custom post type of Staff and displayed the staff bios in a modal window using the Off Canvas Widget. In this month's meetup, we will show the custom post type content in a single post template and bring advanced custom fields into that template.

We will also create a custom taxonomy and create Archive templates for this taxonomy with advanced custom fields applied to the taxonomy terms for a unique banner image and other details related to each term in the taxonomy.

I find being able to really leverage CPTs and ACFs along with custom taxonomies is one of the strongest tools in my site building toolbox. These concepts can extend to extending any type of content in WordPress.

It is the number one thing I find myself doing for clients repeatedly, whether they want to build out a Book Review section of their site, add Staff pages, create a Resource library, or a Business Directory. CPTs and ACFs and custom taxonomies and their related templates are your best friends.
