On August 20th, Elevada eatery proudly presents the exhibition of José Rui Gomes, the artist selected for the first edition of our Open Call series.
About the artist
Born in Braga and holding a degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon, José Rui Gomes began working as a portrait artist at a young age. After completing his studies, he dedicated himself fully to this craft.
The works on display are part of "Enquanto Esperamos" (2025), a project created at the Montes Claros university residence, portraying the warm and personal connection between residents and the shared space during their university years.
