Brandon Beatty is the Founder of Shielded Home Inspections and a licensed Commercial and Residential Home Inspector serving New Jersey for over eight years. Backed by 25 certifications from InterNACHI®, the world’s leading home inspection authority, Brandon is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable and detail-driven inspectors in the region.
A New Jersey native, Brandon has evaluated properties across the state for first-time homebuyers, seasoned investors, and sellers preparing for market. He has built a strong reputation for his patience, thoroughness, and exceptional ability to spot issues that often save clients tens of thousands of dollars in future repairs — from roofing failures and structural movement to hidden electrical, moisture, and plumbing concerns.
Shielded Home Inspections operates under the principle “Inspect Before You Invest,” providing comprehensive evaluations centered on safety, building performance, and long-term risk mitigation. Services include radon testing, oil-tank sweeps, termite inspections, roof and gutter assessments, electrical and plumbing analysis, HVAC evaluation, foundation and structural review, insulation and ventilation checks, and more.
Brandon’s approach is rooted in building science: he treats every property as an interconnected system. His modern, easy-to-understand reports help clients grasp what’s wrong, why it matters, what the consequences are if ignored, and what the next steps should be. Trusted for his honesty, documentation, and risk-reduction mindset, Brandon has served as a preferred inspector for insurance companies including Goosehead, Narragansett, Travelers, and GEICO. He is also an ongoing inspector for the Township of Belleville Home Improvement Program, administered by CME Associates, which allocates up to $22,000 for eligible residential rehabilitation projects.
To empower real estate professionals and new buyers, Brandon teaches his signature educational workshop, “Houses 101,” to brokerages and investor groups throughout New Jersey. The presentation demystifies how homes truly function as systems — structure, moisture, air, heat, and mechanicals — and explains how failures in one area can create costly ripple effects elsewhere. His mission is simple: help clients avoid expensive surprises and make smarter, safer real estate decisions before money changes hands.
