In the Book of God, the Mighty, the Great, ye have been forbidden to engage in contention and conflict. Lay fast hold on whatever will profit you, and profit the peoples of the world. ~ Baha'u'llah

Elections are again on the horizon and we are bombarded daily with messages of contention and conflict. Those seeking office say they are the “best” candidate to resolve our issues. Instead of working together, our system encourages each candidate to tout their own qualifications while denouncing those of others, in order that they can “win”. We have lived through many election cycles, yet is our world any better?

Yet, it is the only system we currently have. How can we approach “partisan politics” in a way that will really benefit us and help change the world? Is there a better way?

Please join us, as our hearts and minds come together in open-ended discussion on how we might better engage to change the world. We will explore some guidance provided by the teachings of the Baha’i Faith, the most recent of the world’s independent religions, to see what we might apply. Baha’is work throughout the world to advance the whole of humankind toward unity. People of all backgrounds, religions, and beliefs, of course, are welcome…

O contending peoples and kindreds of the earth! Set your faces towards unity, and let the radiance of its light shine upon you. Gather ye together, and for the sake of God resolve to root out whatever is the source of contention amongst you. ~ Baha'u'llah

Our first choice, of course, is to meet in person. Still, we’d rather have you attend — even if it is online — than not attend. So here is a zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88158217522?pwd=cGxNeDR2eCthN0k2d2tlSk1sMnViQT09
