Friday Night English is a fun English lesson and conversation group for adults.
Once a month we have a Free Online English lesson where you can answer questions in a fun quiz and learn useful phrases and grammar. There is also a chance to win a free one-on-one lesson with me, Mike!

My name is Mike and I created Elevator English in 2021. I am from, Birmingham, UK. I am a CELTA-qualified English Teacher and have been teaching English for over 13 years. Is my English level okay?
Yes! Friday Night English is open to everyone at every level! When you join our event, your camera and microphone will be automatically off. You don't have to speak. I use online quizzes, so you can answer questions by using your phone or computer. If you just want to watch and listen, that is okay. You will have the chance to speak to other people if you like, but this is your choice.
How do I join?
I use Zoom for my sessions. Click on the 'Online Event' link on the event to register for the event. You will need to give an email address and Zoom will send you the link for the session just before it starts. You can join with your phone or computer.
What is Mike Co?
When I first began teaching Business English in 2017, I created Mike Co. It was a way for me to create fun roleplays and activities in lessons where students had to deal with the incredible ideas of 'Mike of Mike Co.' CEO and Business Magician of Mike Co. Why do you do this?
Friday Night English is a great way for me to connect with English learners and meet wonderful people like you. I think it is important to teach real useful English skills and I enjoy helping people develop their professional careers. We have a lot of fun and I love it.

•OnlineMike Co. Presents: SAD DAD Short Film Festival
OnlineHi! My name is Mike, and in March this year, I decided I wanted to create a short film festival which encouraged people who wouldn't usually make a film to pick up their phones and start recording. I live in Madeira and am very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful, creative people who got very excited about this concept and made my film festival dreams come true.
The prompt for the short films and the theme of the festival is 'Saudade', a unique Portuguese word which relates to missing something in both a sad and happy way. As a result, I have received an eclectic mix of shorts about this beautiful island and feelings of nostalgia.
In this festival, you'll see some great short films and have the chance to ask the creators questions and chat with other people all around the world about the themes and things you have seen.
Mike Co. Presents ... are Presentations or Conversations in English which you can watch live. You will have the opportunity to submit questions to the presenter/s and join discussions about the topic afterwards.
