Friday Night English is a fun English lesson and conversation group for adults.
Once a month we have a Free Online English lesson where you can answer questions in a fun quiz and learn useful phrases and grammar. There is also a chance to win a free one-on-one lesson with me, Mike!

My name is Mike and I created Elevator English in 2021. I am from, Birmingham, UK. I am a CELTA-qualified English Teacher and have been teaching English for over 13 years. Is my English level okay?
Yes! Friday Night English is open to everyone at every level! When you join our event, your camera and microphone will be automatically off. You don't have to speak. I use online quizzes, so you can answer questions by using your phone or computer. If you just want to watch and listen, that is okay. You will have the chance to speak to other people if you like, but this is your choice.
How do I join?
I use Zoom for my sessions. Click on the 'Online Event' link on the event to register for the event. You will need to give an email address and Zoom will send you the link for the session just before it starts. You can join with your phone or computer.
What is Mike Co?
When I first began teaching Business English in 2017, I created Mike Co. It was a way for me to create fun roleplays and activities in lessons where students had to deal with the incredible ideas of 'Mike of Mike Co.' CEO and Business Magician of Mike Co. Why do you do this?
Friday Night English is a great way for me to connect with English learners and meet wonderful people like you. I think it is important to teach real useful English skills and I enjoy helping people develop their professional careers. We have a lot of fun and I love it.

FRIDAY NIGHT ENGLISH is a place for adults to learn useful English phrases and grammar, test their English knowledge, practise their English skills and most importantly, have FUN!
All adults are welcome, from Absolute Beginners to English Pros. You can join the fun English Quiz and you will have the opportunity to win a free 60-minute one-to-one with me, Mike!
WHAT TO EXPECT / HOW DOES IT WORK?
First, you will need to RSVP then REGISTER for the event by clicking the Zoom link. Once you have registered for the event, the meeting link will be emailed to you.
We'll be using Zoom for the Meetup. When you join, your camera and microphone will be off automatically.
At the start, Mike (a qualified Native English Teacher) will be introducing the topic and giving some useful examples.
Then, we will play a fun quiz, which will test your understanding of the topic and phrases. We are using Slides With Friends, which is free to use. You can play on your phone or on your computer. It is super easy to use.
Finally, we will spin "The Marvellous English Wheel of Destiny" to decide who wins the Free One-to-One 60-minute Session with Mike! The top 10 participants will all have a chance to win.

It's BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON BABY! Let's test your English and see how much of your English you remember. This is a fun quiz which will test lots of different parts of English. In this English presentation, I'll be talking about the current nightmare of recruitment, discussing how candidates are being selected and taking a look at how it became so difficult to get a job.
Mike Co. Presents ... are Presentations or Conversations in English which you can watch live. You will have the opportunity to submit questions to the presenter/s and join discussions about the topic afterwards.
You will also receive some English Learning materials to help you ask insightful questions and reference vocabulary related to the topic.
This is a fantastic opportunity to discover more advanced English topics, broaden your vocabulary and learn something along the way.
