Mike Co. Presents: SAD DAD Short Film Festival

Hi! My name is Mike, and in March this year, I decided I wanted to create a short film festival which encouraged people who wouldn't usually make a film to pick up their phones and start recording. I live in Madeira and am very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful, creative people who got very excited about this concept and made my film festival dreams come true.

The prompt for the short films and the theme of the festival is 'Saudade', a unique Portuguese word which relates to missing something in both a sad and happy way. As a result, I have received an eclectic mix of shorts about this beautiful island and feelings of nostalgia.

In this festival, you'll see some great short films and have the chance to ask the creators questions and chat with other people all around the world about the themes and things you have seen.

Mike Co. Presents ... are Presentations or Conversations in English which you can watch live. You will have the opportunity to submit questions to the presenter/s and join discussions about the topic afterwards.
