Pitch Practice Session (Discurso de ascensor)

Come and join us for our first Practice Session!
Our Practice Sessions are a safe place to practice your Elevator Pitch in English with community feedback. You can join and do your pitch or you can sit and watch to learn what other people are doing.
These sessions are about pitching, but also very much about practicing your English for pitching. The more you do it, the easier it gets!

Facilitators for the sessions will be provided by En Route Stories, Techstars Startup Weekend Valencia, and their friends!

Come and practic with us at Plant Shack! The entry fee of 5 EUR will include one of their cold pressed juices (usually 5.50).

What we will do in each session:

• Quick introduction of the concept and framework for practice.
• Warmup exercises
• Point of focus for the session (from the insights of our experienced facilitators)
• Breakout exercises/discussion
• Present and pitch (4 minutes max)
• Feedback
• Vocabulary check

Please note:

• Elevator pitches fast, impromptu and sharp. No notes, no slides.
• That being said: Make as many mistakes as you want!! The more mistakes we make, the more we learn.
• Practice is in English, but we very much welcome Spanish speakers that want to improve their English pitching. In fact it is our goal to help Spanish entrepreneurs reach a more international audience.

Price:
Entry fee paid at the door and is 5 EUR and includes:

• Faciliation for the practice session
• A cold pressed juice from Plant Shack (usually 5.50).
• Discounted tasting menu provided by Plant Shack.

The Location:
We will start at 18:30 sharp at Plant Shack. A fantastic plant-based restaurant in the heart of Valencia. The owners, Lee and Sarah, are prolific entrepreneurs and community builders.
