Hanover Township is doing their Concert on the Reserve Program again this year, continuing this week. In the past we've had gaming still going on at the top floor of the cabin, and the lower level off bounds for the band.
Hanover Township’s free Summer Concert Series will kick off at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11 at the Izaak Walton Reserve outdoor amphitheater at 899 Jay Street in Elgin with a performance by Santana tribute act Fuze Band. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to sit out and enjoy the concert. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting youth programming. Da Pizza Food Truck will also be on-site for attendees to purchase slices or whole pizzas for the show. Limited parking is available.
Off-site parking is available at Huff Elementary School, 801 Hastings Street in Elgin. The concert series continues July 16 with a performance by Rosie & The Rivets and on Aug. 13 with Big Brothers Vinyl.
EAGLEs stands for Elgin Area Gamers League and is a gaming club that has been meeting on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in Elgin, Illinois to play games since 1991. We play a wide variety of games including board games, war games, fantasy and historical miniatures, role-playing games, collectible card games ...etc.
The atmosphere is friendly and new members are always welcome. We do not charge any membership dues although we do sell snacks and soft drinks at meetings to pay the rent. We also host an open gaming day in the spring, fall, and winter called Kit-Con (COVID permitting). Come visit us if you're game!
