Wir wollen euch Elixir näher bringen! Wie wollen wir das anstellen? Wir wollen mit euch eine Reise von Ruby zu Elixir machen. Dazu werden zwei Kollegen eine Live-Coding-Session machen bei immer komplexere Anforderungen in Ruby und Elixir parallel umgesetzt werden! Anhand konkreter Beispiele werden wir Kernunterschiede zwischen Ruby (OOP) und Elixir (FP) aufzeigen!

Natürlich sollt ihr auch eure Ideen und Vorschläge einbringen, um das ganze interaktiv und unterhaltsam zu machen! Bringt die Jungs zum schwitzen!

Beim "Show and Tell" kann wer will zeigen, was er schon mit Elixir gemacht hat und danach werden wir eine Coding Kata in Elixir mit unserem neu gewonnenen Wissen angehen!

We want to introduce you to Elixir! How do we want to do it? We will take you on a journey from Ruby to Elixir. For that two colleagues will do a live-coding-session, where they will implement requirements of ever increasing complexity in Ruby and Elixir in parallel! This will show us core differences between Ruby (OOP) and Elixir (FP) using concrete examples!

Of course you will be welcome to contribute your ideas and suggestions, to keep the whole thing interactive and entertaining! Make them sweat!

For the "Show and Tell" anybody can present their projects and what they have built in Elixir. After that we will tackle a coding kata where we can put our new Elixir knowledge to test.
