Some time ago, a group of Elixir Contributors had an idea: organize Elixir meetups all around the globe at the same time. Software Mansion brought that idea to life.

We gathered a group of Elixir enthusiasts and created Global Elixir Meetups – an event dedicated to reigniting Elixir meetups around the world!

Make Search Boring with Torus

If you’ve ever had the chance to implement search from scratch, you know how cumbersome it can be - until now. Meet Torus - an Elixir library that bridges PostgreSQL search and Ecto queries, abstracting away the nasty parts and letting you add semantic, similarity, pattern-matching, and full-text search with a single line of code added to your existing Ecto queries. At the end, I’ll show a live demo you can try yourself to see how easy it is to add Torus to your app!

Leveraging Nested LiveViews

Nested LiveViews are not commonly used but they are great for heavy message passing encapsulation. In this talk, I'll demonstrate a practical use case of Nested LiveViews on a simple example. We'll also explore the differences between Nested LiveViews, LiveComponents, and Hooks and how to select the perfect tool for the job.
