The long winter of eastern seaboard lockdown is over, and what better way to kick off the long spring of eastern seaboard lockdown than some talks at your favourite meetup (we assume), Elixir Australia!
Two community talk veterans have entered the ring this month to give us a taste of some of the bleeding edge that the world of Elixir!

PromEx (https://github.com/akoutmos/prom_ex) is a fantastic library that turns BEAM telemetry events into metrics that can be scraped by the Prometheus timeseries monitoring system. It also has the added feature of providing some in-built Grafana charts that can be uploaded directly to a Grafana instance.
In this talk we will walk through setting up a local PromEx environment including Prometheus and Grafana with Docker to show how quickly you can get some metrics going in your Elixir applications.

Over the weekend, I managed to upgrade my little side project to Phoenix 1.6. In this talk I'll share my journey.
