Annual Christmas Bird Count

Join the Friends of Elk Island Society for the annual Boxing Day Bird Count in Elk Island National Park between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Register online at norm.cameron@elkisland.ca, on Meetup under
Friends of Elk Island Society, or at Golf Course Club House on the day of the event. Best to register early as we only have so many birding sites and they go fast. Bird count areas will be assigned, with past
participants having first choice for the areas they have covered previously. There are walking bird count areas within the park, some driving areas outside the park boundaries, and backyard bird
feeders or your own property if you fall in our assigned circle. The only fee is for the Park entry; prices can be found on this site: ttps://parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/elkisland/visit/tarifs-fees. Join us later for some fellowship, hot dogs, and hot chocolate. Hope to see you there.
