Join the Friends of Elk Island Society for an engaging presentation exploring ancient human connections across Alberta. Dr. Todd Kristensen will share recent archaeological research on volcanic glass (obsidian) artifacts that reveal immense human networks thousands of years old. Alberta was a crossroads of human contact, and the Parkland region surrounding Edmonton offers a particularly compelling chapter in this deep-time story. This is a free public event. All are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided. Doors open at 1:30 PM.
