Trails and Trash

Join FEIS at our annual Trails and Trash event on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 10 a.m. We will meet at the Golf Course parking lot in Elk Island National Park to organize groups. This year FEIS will be collecting trash along the 18 km of Parkway roadsides from the north to south gates. Please join us as many hands make light work.

Please wear gloves and weather-appropriate clothing; we will supply large garbage bags, trash picker-uppers and safety vests will be provided. We will spend a couple of hours picking up trash and follow it up with a BBQ - hot dogs, and drinks supplied by the Friends. You are responsible for your gate entrance fees.
