Fladry Deployment in CLBF
Details
The Friends of Elk Island Society has been asked to provide volunteers to assist with the installation of fladry in the Cooking Lake Blackfoot grazing area. We will be working with Elk Island National Park, Alberta Parks, and the Friends of Cooking Lake Blackfoot on a project to prevent conflicts between predators and cattle. This is an all-day event. We will be installing posts and assembling the fencing over a large area of the grazing fields. Things to bring are lunch, water, appropriate clothes, and bear spray if you have it. Contact Norm Cameron at norm.cameron@elkisland.ca for more information.
