What we’re about
A new creative group bringing together the Ellenbrook and Swan Valley art community in a friendly, inclusive and welcoming space.
All skill levels are warmly welcomed, from curious beginners to seasoned creatives.
Most weeks, members will work on their own projects in a relaxed, supportive environment. As the group grows, we can explore optional shared activities such as:
- Monotone studies or focused subjects
- Sketching or painting trips to inspiring local locations like boat yards or historic buildings
- Practical workshops such as making your own picture frames
- Guest artists and art teachers
As we grow
Developing a themed body of work with the aim of a group exhibition at Ellenbrook Art Space and entry into selected competitions, purely for learning and growth
What to bring
Bring along your own art materials and enjoy dedicated creative time. Tables and chairs are provided.
Spaces are limited to 10 participants per session.
Cost:
FREE, unless numbers grow to the point where a larger hired venue is required.
About me
A little about the organiser: I’m a beginner water-colourist (started in January 2025) and have recently returned from a couple of years travelling in the Eastern States. During my travels, I was lucky enough to happen upon art groups, classes and a gallery owner, who very kindly allowed me to join them, while I was in the area.
My inspiration
This group is inspired by those artists, who gave an unknown solo traveller a warm welcome, a place to connect and shared tips, advice, techniques, friendship and encouragement.
