We are proceeding the train of thought from our previous meetup, and continuing our talks around Embedded and IoT cybersecurity (whether with or without Linux).

The gameplan for our next meetup, kindly hosted by Checkpoint is:
- 17:00 - Gathering
- 17:30 - Welcome notes / community and next meetups
This gives you 15 minutes to submit your next talks ;-)

- 17:45 - Talk #1: Cybersecurity in the age of IoT - Navigating the Challenges and Regulatory Landscape by Miri Ofir, R&D Director @ Check Point

Global powers and regulations are changing the IoT world. In the age of Hacktivism and under the huge increase of cyber attacks on connected devices, Governments take seriously the risks of IoT devices, and introduce new regulation to ensure the cybersecurity of those devices. we will review the requirements of NIST, ETSI, RED and UL MCV 1376 and will discuss how to develop a device according to security be design principles.
- 18:30 - Break
- 18:40 - Talk #2: Instrumentation for Embedded Devices by Gili Yankovitch - Technology Leader @ Check Point

To know whether a device has gone rogue, one would need to know what it is doing at all times. To do this, the device software needs to be instrumented at runtime to check its integrity. Embedded devices are essentially computers with dedicated purpose. They have MCUs and are running software just like any computer. Therefore, similar debugging techniques can be applied to instrument them while some dedicated ones can be leveraged as an added value for embedded devices instrumentation.
- 19:40 - Talk #3 - OTA update guidelines (preparation for the June meetup which will be about OTA) by Ron Munitz, The PSCG

In this short talk I will present some of the reasons why Over-The-Air updates are so important, and what are the different tasks required to achieve when planning to implement or integrate an OTA system.
This will serve as the opening note for our next planned Embedded Israel meetup, which will be around OTA's.
- 20:03 - Closing notes
- 20:04- "After party" - more networking, food and drinks.
