LoRa gateway on the rooftop of Olavskvartalet
Dag Vikan (Wireless Trondheim) and Fredrik Anthonisen (CTT Project, NTNU) will guide you through a small 2-hour LoRa workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to help you get started using the LoRa technology.
Bernt-Olov Hellström, a Semtech representative will be joining us and explain the significance of this new radio technology.
The LoRa technology is very interesting because there's a good chance it is going to become the main standard for communication in IoT.
Cisco estimates the IoT will consist of 50 billion devices connected to the Internet by 2020 [1].
Wireless Trondheim have installed a LoRa gateway on the rooftop of Olavskvartalet. Its antenna is good enough to catch datatraffic all the way from DIGS.
Bring your laptop.
