"The Promise Land", with Stefan Penner and Domenic Denicola" will be a pair of back-to-back talks. First, Domenic will introduce us to the power of the Promises pattern in Javascript, and then Stefan will explore the usages of promises in Ember and Ember apps.

Domenic Denicola is passionate about things like promises, code reuse, and the next version of JavaScript, and is known as one of the co-authors of the Promises/A+ open specification.

Stefan Penner is an active member of the Ember core team, a senior engineer at Yapp, and an unstoppable force that originated from Winnipeg, Canada.

We'll also have a few lightning talks to kick things off:

* Matthew Beale will tell us about his exploration of ShareJS and Ember.

* Michael Grassotti will demo using a Google Spreadsheet as a read-only data source for Ember.

* Alex Matchneer will give us a quick rundown on his router improvements that got merged in to master this weekend. (We plan to have a more comprehensive router talk from Alex in July.)
