Hello and welcome! I've created this group to share Takapuna beach with the local community while also offering my own fitness and embodiment facilitation.
This group is for anyone looking to deepen their sense of embodiment while building meaningful connections with others. The exercises are designed to cultivate awareness and presence rather than provide an intense workout, though a basic level of fitness is recommended. Having personally experienced depression and nerve disturbances, I’ve seen firsthand how daily habits, combined with a focus on embodiment, can lead to profound positive change.
I'm currently studying Tension Release Exercises (TRE) and have witnessed how embracing embodiment in daily life can enhance well-being. While this group isn’t specifically focused on TRE, I aim to integrate the principles of embodiment into our workouts—helping to foster confidence, strength, and connection.
Workout Structure:
🌅Sharing Circle & Introductions (5-10 mins)
🧘♀️ Beach Workout & Light Yoga (20-30 mins)
🌊Sea Dip, Float & Chat – As we transition into colder months, this will gradually develop into a more structured Cold Water Exposure practice (10mins)
To help prepare for the cold water, we’ll gradually build up our tolerance each week. I also highly recommend incorporating hot and cold contrast showers into your daily routine to condition your body.
