What we’re about
Embodied Groove® hosts gatherings in the Bay Area and beyond where everyone can feel free to express themselves authentically through movement for greater aliveness, presence, joy, and flow. Events range from dance parties that kick off concerts to intentionally created events and women’s workshops.
Embodied Groove® was created by Dr. Leah Taylor to help people feel safe and at ease in their body, heal accumulated stress & trauma, and expand a person’s nervous system through somatic reprogramming and energy medicine combined with play, connection and embodied mindfulness.
It can be practiced with an intentional playlist to get people out of their heads and into their body or improvised live music by professional musicians. Embodied Groove is appropriate for people of all ages and movement abilities. The instruction is loosely guided so all movers can find their own groove with the clear instructions by Dr. Leah Taylor.
Embodied Groove® was born out of Leah’s love and extensive experience of connecting with live music through movement and her graduate level training in somatic psychology and mind-body medicine. Leah has a unique ability to deepen movers' connection with their bodies, the environment, and the music to create an experience you will not want to miss!
