Orø Adventure Day: Walk, Wander, Wonder
Details
Let's hop on te little island of Orø close to Copenhagen in the middle of the Ise Fjord to enjoy some hours in beautiful nature, quiet surroundings and hopefully some sun ;-)
We will follow a route passing through northern Orø, where the landscape is marked by the legacy of the Ice Age. When the ice receded about 16,000 years ago, it left behind large quantities of stones and gravel, which today form the island's hilly terrain. The walk follows the coast at Salvig, where you can see traces of the Stone Age sea's influence in the form of steep coastal cliffs, which today are overgrown or used for grazing.
