Details

Once upon a time there was a lake, a monastery and a mill....no it is not a historic novel, this our next adventure!

This trail comes through the scenic surroundings of Gribskoven and along parts of Esrum Lake, where it is possible to spot ducks and other birds.
The trail will also pass Esrum Monastery, which was built in the 1100s and was a Cistercian monastery. The Cistercian monks had the largest landholding in North Zealand in the Middle Ages.
