Hug Kilmarnock!

Details
Rules for participation in Embrace the World Hug Events:
1. No shirts or signs with political or religious messages, or anything not family friendly.
2. ALWAYS ask "would you like a hug?" BEFORE touching anyone and wait for a verbal yes.
3. If no verbal yes, take that as a no, and say, "thank you for taking care of yourself.
4. Open arms, allow them to come to you.
5. Keep hands out of "bathing suit areas."
6. Don't rub backs.
7. Let go as soon as you notice that they let go. Earlier if you are feeling uncomfortable for any reason.
8. You never have to hug anyone, ever. If someone or something makes you feel uneasy, honor your feelings and say, ”no thank you. “
9. Look out for each other and make sure everyone is approaching respectfully and no one is blocking store entrances or sidewalk traffic. Be considerate.
10. Don't take it personally if someone doesn't want to hug you. A person could have a million good reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with you.
11. If you find yourself shying away from a certain kind of people, notice that about yourself, and be curious about why.
12. Thank people for the hug. They gave you one, too!
13. Our hugs are always free. Do not accept anything from anyone but a return hug.
We will park at the far lot behind BRB on S Main. We’ll walk to S. Main and spread out up and down Main St. Be super aware of traffic, both on roads and sidewalks, so as not to be in the way.
Let’s be clear: This is NOT a demonstration. It’s a public service. Our ENTIRE agenda is to give and receive DESIRED, CONSENTED TO hugs. NOTHING ELSE.
If anyone bothers you or asks questions, point them to Donna.
Thank you for opening your arms, and your heart, to the world.
