New Next thing in Robotics – Calling all Internet Programmers

This Meetup is all about Internet Programmers, combing all kinds of data sources, and yes, controlling robots essentially from a web-page with web-linguistics. So cool!

Cambridge Open Source Robots has built a new and small platform/stack to enable people like YOU to build real robotic applications. The focus is all on HTML5, Javascript, and ES6 and the target audience is modern and typical Web Programmers, NOT robotics people and not toys-for-kids. This should be a massively emerging market.

We will do a short demo of a small robot, and a bit of a walk-through of the open source code. We want to get smart people together to help strategize where to take this next.

What is stopping us is not enough awareness of new tools and techniques. Use your thoughts on modern programming skills and how millions of devices are now coming radio-ready and dying to be controlled by your laptops and phones. Quite possibly the first market is an advanced "intelligent toy" market where the device is constantly changing by connections to other internet sources and people writing fragments! Think of it!
