Reckoning with the Great Transition

Our first Meetup was a great success! Our group represented a diverse mix of ages, backgrounds, and interests, as we thoughtfully explored the themes of LEADERSHIP and COMMUNITY.

Another theme was also present in the background: CHANGE. For our next gathering, we will bring this topic to the front and center of our conversation.

More and more of us are recognizing that we are alive during a critical point in our history as a nation and a species. From climate change, to political polarization, to accelerating technological development...the world as we have known it until recently is rapidly giving way to something out of science fiction.

What are the key social, economic, and environmental forces driving this unprecedented change?

How are these changes affecting us on local and personal level?

How can we participate in this process in such a way as to guide it in the best possible direction?

Through exploring these questions together we give ourselves a chance to share our hopes and fears without judgment, and to clarify and strengthen our intentions to make a meaningful contribution.
