About us
My name is Dale.
I live in Sacramento, have a 39' sailboat in Emery Cove Yacht Harbor, and often, friends and family can't sail when I can. My intention is to create an event when I'm planning to sail the boat solo and if a few people want to join, great. Better than sailing alone. All people, and I mean all people, are welcome with a few caveats.
They don't need to be athletes by any means but fit enough to handle to boat movement and participate in sail handling, winching, and moderate physical tasks. If you can't swim, you'll be wearing an ugly orange life vest that I provide even when it's calm and others are not. As the skipper, I'm responsible for safety of passengers.
If you're goal is to sit on the foredeck (front) and drink beer, don't need ya sorry. If you'd like to experience sailing, here's your free chance to see what it's like. I will typically bake or barbeque lunch while we're out but might ask you to help cook, prepare or contribute if you have specific wants. Ask me questions as needed.
